(p. 194) kaḍ়kaḍ় denoting: the sound of munching hard or of a loud rumbling noise (as of a clap of thunder); imaginary sound produced by the stiffening of anything glutinous (ভাত শুকিয়ে কড়কড় করছে). কড়কড়ানি n. any of the aforesaid sounds. কড়কড়ে a. giving out a sound that is caused by the stiffening of anything glutinous; hard and glutinous. 38)
