(fig.) to turn up one's nose (at), to show disdain (at). নাকঝাড়া v. to blow one's nose. নাক টেপা v. to press one's nose; (ridi.). to say one's prayers silently. নাক ডাকা v. to snore. নাক ফোঁড়া, নাক বেঁধানো v. to perforate the septum of one's nose. ̃বরাবর adv. straight, straightaway, in the direction of one's nose. নাক বাঁকানো same as নাক উঁচানো । নাক মলা v. to pull or twist one's own nose as a mark of regret for a mistake or fault. নাক সিঁটকানো same as নাক উঁচানো । নাকে খত see খত । নাকে-মুখে গোঁজা v. to eat very hurriedly; to gulp down. নাকের ছেঁদা a nostril. নাকের জলে চোখের জলে হওয়া (fig.) to be embarrassed, to be in deep waters or quagmire. নিজের নাক কেটে পরের যাত্রাভঙ্গ করা (fig.) to do a greater harm to oneself in an attempt to put somebody into trouble. 8)
